I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die. -
"Most popular" will be Ancient...
However, the Tri-League is about experimentation and trying new things... so an occasional Medieval start at a slower speed (i.e. marathon) would be nice to enjoy the flavour of the era - as long as we have a nice UU and leader for the era!!Live your life - as an Adventure! -
I thought Tri-League was about friendly competition with standard settings. A kind of game that you would get if you selected "Play Now!" on the single player menu.Comment

Advanced starts might have two advantages (I wouldn't know - I've never tried them...)
1. If we all start out with the same save from an advanced start, it will be interesting to see how the strategies diverge in play after that and compare them.
2. It would save time when trying to run a longer game, like on a big map or slower speed.Comment

Later era starts are significantly more complicated right from the get go, with many choices, and perhaps that is intimidating to some players. I personally feel a rennaissance or industrial start would be very good for this tournament.Comment
