Honestly, waiting until the game is finished before starting the discussion is too long of a delay for me.
You could always write up your review of your game as you are playing it (like a journal), or just after finishing it (a recap of the game) and then just save it. You could then wait until the discussion thread is opened, after the submission period has closed, and then post it for all to see.......

I'm not sure if I'll have time to play out the loss for submission or not. Next game is epic speed, too, so I think I may use my precious free hours there.

Oh yeah, Playshogi! Sometimes you get the bear, sometimes the bear gets you. At Emperor, and with all the extra nastiness Rob and Nugog toss in, I expect the bear is *usually* gonna get me! My personal goal is just to have a victory of any type in 50% of the Advanced games. I'm 1-2 so far, and learning a ton, so I'm happy.
Rob/Nugog - question for you... I could always retire in this game at however far I get, and submit that, right?
Boy, those first few games in Intermediate are looking like the good ol' days!
Shalkai, retirements are not accepted in the Tri-League I'm afraid, either a win save or a lose save only!!!
Retirements would be open to manipulation. i.e. 'Retiring' at a perceived peak of of your empires power to get as good a score as possible in the circumstance.

Got it. I played almost 100 turns in Game 11 last night, and will try to play it out to a finish. My "power peak" is down in the valley no matter when I look at it, but at least I survived the dual war with Joe and Rags.
There should be just enough time for me to get to the end (or get squished) before the submission period ends.
