Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? No no, my CIV just kept crashing as soon as I had downloaded the save and ran the game directly from there since it usually has worked that way. Sure enough, it worked once I just calmed down and reinstalled it from scratch. I bet there was something simple I missed but since reinstalling is usually the cure for just about everything I just do that!

So I'm at war with one civ. I end my turn, and I get these messages:
Civ I'm at war at becomes a vassal state of civ 2
Civ 2 declares war on you!
...I may sound like a complete noob here, but can one civ become a vassal of another civ, even if they're not at war with each other? I didn't think they could...Comment

Seems OK to me draethor.
Without going into too much detail, I presume you were kicking Civ1's butt, and he ran for help from Civ2, who demanded that Civ1 become a vassal state in exchange for protection.........
