  • Advanced Game 6 Discussion Thread

Advanced League Game 6 has closed for submissions. Please feel free to discuss your game in as much detail as you want. The more we talk, the more we can learn from each others successes and failures......

A low turnout for this game too, lets hope it is just the traditional festive season disruption of the truly important business of playing Civ...... We have a clear winner in Dominae, with Theseus comfortably getting second spot, and CyberShy getting the final podium position.

    The top three :

    1st : Dominae : Won Domination Victory - 1808AD - 6031 points / 128869 points

    2nd : Theseus : Won Diplomatic Victory - 1860AD - 4046 points / 53080 points
    3rd : CyberShy : Lost to Diplomatic - 1910AD - 2432 points / 19097 points - LOST

Congratulations to all those who took part in this game.
Let your every day be full of joy, love the child that holds your hand, let your wife delight in your embrace, for these alone are the concerns of humanity.
The BtS Pitboss Team Democracy Game has just started!!!

    Dominae... HOLY CR*P!!!

    I don;t think I've ever broken 100K.

    Congrats.
The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.

I'll have to go back through my game... the thing I remember most clearly was smacking the English and capturing London almost immediately. Great city site, both in terms of quality and strategic location.

Domination, wow. Weren;t the Americans and somebody else strong way the hell over on the east side of the continent?

AP victory for me. First time.

Didn't get to finish in time (started on the 28th I think) but a diplo victory looked logical...

Brutalized England off the get go. Lincon went Hindu while everyone else when Buddha. As long as I kept in everones good graces (minus lincon), and built the diplo buildings first I have a feeling this one would have been in the bag.

            Awesome game Dominae!

I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Here is the unlocked save - for those who want to have a look see - and maybe see what the game would have been like with iron (via worldbuilder).

                    It was a pain!
                    Being the romans without iron!

Did anybody got Iron through some event?
I was hoping for that, but no go

I don't know why, but for some reason I had a feeling right from the start that iron was going to be missing.

The English still suffered under the heavy hand of the axe however...
