Urf. I didn't submit because I got down to the end and was stuck with either an unwinnable war against Mr. "Former Apostolic Palace resident and major but-kisser" Joao, who kept winning the UN election, despite me building it :/

So faced with either killing my economy by overexpanding off-shore, or throwing mysef on my sword trying to take out Joao, I chose to chicken out and play something else for a while

I can blame Boudicca for my defeat - I lost trying to attack her capital 3 times before finally getting an edge with Cho-Ko-Nu's, but of course by then I was too late for the AP, and a bit late to try and culture build. I probably should have gone culture early, but I wanted to take a shot at Domination, and figured she was the most likely to be a thorn in my side.

Well I was right, just not in the way I'd expected
But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

I didn't finish either, mostly because the wretched Boudicea kept on declaring war on me. Her numbers of horsemen just overwhelmed my fine but amateur army.
I'm a lover not a warrior, but I couldn't bring myself to try to seduce that lice-ridden hussy!

I made fast friends with Z to my north, and tried to keep friendly relations with Boudica. Didn't work very well though. Early Game, I went after Joao to try to keep him from expanding too close to me. I thought about going after Boudica after that, but she was pretty close to me in technology at the time, so I decided to leave her be for the moment. Genghis and Sitting Bull were pretty weak, so I crossed the ocean and began taking them on. I was fighting a war on two fronts. Pretty easily, since I was well ahead in techs and sheer numbers. I wasn't paying attention, however, and when Sitting Bull got close to annihilation, he went to Z and begged for his protection as a Vassal. I didn't allow that mistake to happen with GK. Once he was defeated I turned my attention to Boudica, and systematically beat her down into capitulation as well.
I was reloading my armies and navies to take down Saladin when I won a Cultural Victory.

As soon as I had all of the major techs, I had switched my culture slider to 60%, and turned most of my conquered cities that weren't production sites into culture outputs.
