The game just flowed pretty well for me.
If nothing else (as a time-suck), don't you feel the need to check what can be gotten from AI civs? Not resources, obviously, but DOWs and what not?
Without an AP victory or the like, I don't think I've ever finished in under 3 hours, going all the way back to Civ1.
