  • Now Yin, about these autographed copies of Civ3...

...would they also go to old thread managers such as me? after all, we helped to build this list in the beginning, there's some credit to be had...

    Stefu:

Personally, I don't think Firaxis will take the idea seriously. But it would be a great gesture. Of course, version 1 and 2 TMs should be included.

However, it's probably not realistic to expect such a thing. A mention in the credits would be cool--both version 1 and 2 guys. But I haven't heard anything, so I guess we should just feel happy we helped make the game better, which I'm sure we did.

      I thought Stefu was joking...
But I think a mention in the credits isn't asked too much.

Or Firaxis could also use some real names in the games.
For instance, some people would want to have Turywenzism in the game as a real religion. Then Stefu or Raingoon could be the prophet.

In SMAC, when you have a SE choice a faction doesn't like, they give some comment on it.
In civ3,there could be some message during negotations, like "I will not tolerate your maniacal social plans."

I already proposed Yin Fleet as a default name if the player can name his seperate vessels in Civ3.

Yes, a lot of the names would fit nicely into the game. Let's see: "Contruction on the M@ni@c Project completed in the year 2017. It wouldn't be long until the earth's once mightiest weapons now seemed little more than glorified noise-makers."

          Ooh!

I like this Altough sending a copy to all TM:s would be nice.

But I would also like to see the TM:s (and others) mentioned in the game credits. This would be easy (and cheap) to implement into the final version.

I think there are several people how would deserve at least this, but it is up FIRAXIS to choose.

            How about us SE guys?

We all had our individual section in The List (which I find a great gesture on it's own), and Firaxis might even build Civ3's SE on our suggestion. A mention in the credits would be really, really cool.

But I don't think a prophet named The Joker would fit very well......

Ha, Maniac.. sarcasm does not become you.

Think about this! Imagine how many people would have to be included! If TMs ask to get in, then what about those that contributed to the threads (even if one post). It is a bit too much. Perhaps just a thankyou to our fans and the participaters in the List would be a nice thing to add to the credits. Then again, I already had my name in the sun (Episode 25, SMAC story )...

Well, an autographed copy of whatever promo pamphlets come out or some such trivium would be more sensible than a 480-page printout…
