On Civ3, you should be abale to custmize units and city iprovments. It should be Like you can Make a unit with just a sword and it will only take 1 or 2 turns to make. if you make a unit with a sword, a sheald, a bow, a horse, some armor, ETC., it will take you about 1000000000 turns to make. this way you can have stronger units, but it will take you longer.
PLEASE use this idea.
