  • ***I'll be out of town until June 3--Computer access a potential problem.***

Yeah, go figure! I have to attend a big conference in Denver, Colorado (flying in from Korea), so I'll be in the air a long time with no computer access. On top of that, I'm not sure how often I'll be able to get to a computer while at the convention. (Am I a pathetic, or what?)

So, if I can't lock the threads and so forth, or if some kind of emergency arises, you can always ask Mark for help. As for things like new topics, the existing thread masters have everything well under control and can handle anything that comes up.

I'll do my best to check in at least once a day. I leave in about 30 hours, so if you guys have anything you'd like me to do before then, please ask me now.

Can you imagine 10 days with potentially no computer access! That's simply barbaric! I think I should sue for Work-Related Stress Syndrome...and no you can't sue ME for the same thing because you guys asked for this nightmare.

Go to a library. They usually have at least five public computers there, all with internet access.

How about you just let me be moderator while you're gone?

To those in the Denver area: are there any cyber-cafes that Yin26 can use?
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
