How do you use a leader?

I used a leader in one game to rush a Wonder. In my current game I have had this leader since the first age (now in 2010) and can not make an army or rush a wonder? I guess I forgot how I did it the first time? What is the means of doing either. I wanted to make an army to get a victory so I could have made the Epic wonder. I have had dozens of elites win battles and want to get a leader or two. I have so many as I have been at war nearly non stop. It has been more fun to fight than win my culture, I found that to be boring. Since I have now got a huge empire and get all of the wonders and all tech first, I just whack em down. I even captured two early wonders from England and Germany.

When your leader is activated, you should see at the bottom of the screen a bunch of buttons (where disband, goto, bombard, worker, and "mission" buttons are for other units), two of those buttons are for rushing a wonder and building an army.
