Maintaining Cultural Dominance

I have no problem getting a quick dominance of culture, but I find that as the game go on, I find my culture (in the historgraph) continue to erode even as i gain new cities and build new cutlural improvements.

What's the best solution to keeping cultural dominance?

I've had the exact same problem. I have a feeling consistently building wonders is a big part of it - and probably successful military expansion, as well.

So far, it appears Wonders are the big swing. If I there are no early wars, and I can build temples as one of the first three city builds, AND I get a wonder built or two in each age, I usually maintain a culture lead or match.

In games where I'm not building Wonders in each age, I'm pretty much unable to match or exceed culture lead.
