  • Insta-Wonder still sorta possible :(

You can abuse the possibility of moving your palace by storing shields in the palace, then switching to the wonder. Why bother you say? Simple, compare turns to complete the tech you need, if its less than the amount of time it would take you to build the palace, start on the palace. Once it's ready, switch to the wonder, and you've got a major headstart.

You can also do this with the Forbidden Palace, or various minor wonders that you aren't planning on using.

Not *super* exploitable, but still feels like a loophole, since they went to the effort of removing instant wonder building.

It's not really an instant wonder is it ? Just a head start...

I think you need stuff like this to win on higher levels...

one way to make an Instand Wonder

          Hi all

From my reading there is only one way to make an Instand wonder.

If your lucky enough to get a Leader, you can move him to a city and
sacrifice him to complete a wonder in one turn.

The other use for a leader is to form an army.

Elite units have a 1 in 16 chance of becoming a leader in a battle
1 in 12 if youve build the heroic epic

The leader if sacrificed will complete the wonder in 1 turn no matter how much production is left. so it might pay to switch the city to a wonder just before you move the leader into it, if your going this route.

Delbert. . that's not exactly a loophole. thats pretty much just a normal rule of the game.

            were looking for LOOPHOLE'S here.

the only thing with the forbidden palace is, you can't be building it in your capital city i don't think, nor can you build the palace in your capital city (obviously) so if that's where you wanted the wonder, your out of luck.

              Nevermind, it doesn't work

You CANNOT switch production to a wonder.

You can switch prod to a wonder, but only if you haven't rushbought any part of the improvement.

Very nice... this would work with any improvement wouldn't it? It' s just that the Palace has more 'storage' space.
Makes me wonder why they removed the shields penalty for switching production. It was a nuisance, but more realistic IMO.
