the germans allready used some small fireworks in WWI like china did before them and many other nations ) to light up the sky , give smoke cover , etc , .....

but the first real cruise rockets came later in WWII

As for the game:

I have modded the CM to be a tactical missle; as such it can be loaded onto any ship that has enabled the 'transport only tactical missle' flag. I have also modded Battleships to carry one tactical missle with subs able to carry two. Finally, I have also modded the CM to have a range of 12. (Land attack variants of the tomahawk has a range of over 2500 nm.)

Remember that a CM can also be rebased, it is not dependent upon transports, or a road/ rail network.

I'm sure this was more of a psychological advantage. The injuries would have been minimal, but the fireworks scared the sh*t out of the Mongols.

there are some old " books " from that period that expalin about it , .....

they let fly rockets over a small range packed with explosives that set the tents and men a blaze and scared the horses , ....

a few pages further its explained how one guy tried to get into space with some huge fireworks , he used 8 slaves to set the lines on fire at the same time , .... the rockets even had some type of second stage , .......

The mod for the CM is able to be created with just the editor.

For the CM just increase the bombard range to 12 and highlight the special ability of 'tactical missle' also make sure you keep the 'Cruise Missle' special abliity highlighted!

Next pick out which ships you want to be able to use them (For me BB, SS, SSN, and Aegis Cruisers) and increase the transport capaxcity to the number of missles you want the ship to carry. then go down and highlight the special ability 'only transports tactical missles'

Note: You can only have one 'transports only' special ability highlighted otherwise it will not work properly.

thanks a lots, i will check this out, i m sure it will give to the game more interesting commands. But for a Multiplayer LAN game, do all the gamers config this edit, or will it atomatically work when the host loads his edited scenario?

I don't play much MP but it should work if you have included it into a scenerio. NOTE: A small drawback with the CM with this mod is that it can not move on regular tiles, it is only allowed to rebase on airfields or modded ships. (just found this out with play-testing) It is IMO a small price to pay for the increased mobility it provides with ships and airfields.

the average cruise should fly at least 10-14 tiles , .... at least on a huge 362X362 map

rumour has it they are reworked in C3C aldo this cant be confirmed , ......
