hey guys again I am new so I have a few questions. I have played on a big map and alot of the time when I capture enemy cities I find I have to raze them because if I keep them the corruption makes the city produce only 1 sheld. I find this same problem when i have cities far away from my capital.

With this corruption problem I find it hard to have cities on a different continent. Is anyone else having this problem? is thier any way around it?

alexman has written an excellent explanation about corruption
"Do you think you understand corruption?"

In short corruption depends upon both the distance from the capital (and the forbidden palace) and upon how many cities you have. At a certain point it is almost impossible to reduce the corruption. Courthouses and police stations may help as will happiness (marketplaces, temples, etc.), but you may still only get one shield production. One hint is to make as many citizens into tax collectors as possible. Use the best food tiles and make any excess specialists into tax collectors at one Gold each. This does not affect production but does give you a little more income.
