It wasn't 2 riflemen killed by 1 ai spearman, it was 2 infantry. True, the spearman was in a city, but the outcome is still a joke. How come there are no outcrys for the smac combat system in civ 3? Stupid results like this almost never happen with that system.

xobsidianx, there are many posts of this nature where old tech units can defeat newer tech ones. In your case, it's not all that crazy, compared to other examples you can find in the apolyton civ3 boards.
BTW, instead of starting a new thread to correct your post, you could of just "edited" your original post. There are buttons on top of your posts that allows you to do this kind of stuff...
