Phew, I just went through the whole thing. 'Tis some good stuff. I will second Chris' nomination of this story for the contest, for it surely deserves high praise, and I will also second his request for more goods from you.

Thank you all for your kind words. I'm glad to know that many of you enjoyed reading through the story. It's quite long at about 7000 words (30 or so pages), and I know that putting it up in a block as I did was probably somewhat intimidating. In hindsight, I wish that I had posted it in serial format, putting up a new chapter every 2-3 days to attact some more interest and make the whole thing easier to read. Perhaps with the next story...
On that subject, I have another game that would make an excellent story when written up. It's a succession game I'm playing with four other people (on Deity) where we are mounting a monumental comeback against overwhelming odds. Lots of drama, subject material just begging for a story. I don't know whether I will have the time to work on it though, but I think that I will try to do so. That game is also still outstanding at the moment, and I will probably wait until its completion before doing any writing on it.
But again, thank you for your recognition; I know that I am a newcomer unfamiliar to most of the regulars here. Being nominated for the story contest is a nice honor, and winning would be sublime.Comment
