And fifthed. You guys must really love this. I just made the whole thing up off the top of my head. For some chapters I made the map, then wrote the chapter based on the map - if I liked it, anyway.
BTW - I used that NES map you found for me, Vov, and just used Microsoft Paint to color the map in accordingly.Whew! I'm back and ready to start writing again.
Coming soon: Pax America Redux (Including concepts/civs from Conquests)

Although it took over an hour, I just read everything since my last post in this thread. That was back in 1492.
Whoa.
Awesome! Your writing style is admirable - the focus is more on political intrigue than blood and guts. You're sort of a Tom Clancy-type author - suspenseful and really, really long-winded.
This one definitely deserved nomination for Round 15.

Thank you. I don't write battle scenes very well - mostly because I'm unsure how to portray battle in different eras. I'm learning more about tactics - I own a copy of The Art of War and even Machiavelli's The Prince.
I'm an alternate history nut, so this was seriously cool. I'm reading Harry Harrison's Stars and Stripes books, and pretty much anything by Harry Turtledove. Things like that.
It was seriously cool to be able to contribute an Alternate History story of my own.
But Tom Clancy? I don't know enough about military hardware for that. I know I'm long-winded, but I want to get into things. You know, all the little things that makes actual history so interesting.
Thanks a lot.Whew! I'm back and ready to start writing again.
