Spartan troops are now on the ships as well, their presence makes the Macedonian and Athenian troops work harder, as the spartans are much more disciplined.

Yes Macedon is quite afraid that the barbarians to the north will take advantage of the lower numbers of troops and offers rome a millitary alliance against them and to begin working on a joint attack plan.

Persia masses 50% of its army on the border of Sparta and requests meetings with roman and carthage heads of states. The remaining units are spread between all the coastal cities with a one regiment kept in each interior city. Cities on Spartas border and along the coast build walls if they haven't already. Other cities start to build markets and libraries where not built yet.
((OOC: is there a player for carthage? I think we better get one before continuing))

The Romans deny the persians request. 50% of troops are sent to the island of Sicily for reasons not to be released.

Yes to the Greek request. A small Roman raiding party goes into the Barbarian North. The Troops at Sicily are to be loaded up into their transports and are sailing east.

the greek fleet, now complete, sets sail. several thousand athenian soldiers march through sparta toward persia. athenian emissaries sprint to sparta and macedonia, requesting that most of the greeks not in the fleet fight, but not invade, persia. however, nothing official has gone between athens and persia.

Persian workers, protected by the massed soldiers, build fortifications on the land connecting to the spartan and greek territory as a precaution. The number of troops massed on the border is reduced to one third and the rest are moved down along the coast to counter the impending roman incursion.

Xerses addresses the mobs of citizens assembled by law to hear his speech.
"Kind and peace-loving persian people, the romans have rejected our hand of friendship and have even turned away our ambassador. Their refusal to even engage in talks with us is the ultimate insult. To add to this, they immediately assembled troops and their navy, the same ones who oppress the innocent Gauls and Germanic peoples, near Sicily and are headed towards the peaceful land of Persia. This is Rome's way of reacting to friendship. What do the people say?"

"Kill roman! Kill roman! Kill roman! Kill....."

"I must caution you that our navy is in no condition to take on the combined navies of Greece, Macedonia, Sparta and Rome who seem to be allied against our nation."

                        "Kill roman! Kill roman! Kill..."

"And what of these other countries who ally with the roman bullies?"

                        "Kill roman! Kill roman! Kill..."

Xerses sends ambassadors to meet with Sparta and Greece with the intention of avoiding a multiple front war.

OCC: really now, we NEED a leader for Carthage.

The Macedonian horsemen, lead by their magnificent general Alexander have landed and captured a few towns by surprise.

But wait where did they land?

(Metaliturtle; awful cruel of you to have me! who worked the diplomacy to get him off our backs be the first to strike)

Italia and Northern Iberia have been invaded! now we shall see how the Caesers stand against greek brilliance! The Spartan and Athenian armies will (had better) follow us.

                              To Persia:
You see, we are against rome as well, we had them attack the barbarians to divert troops from the front we were opening if you'd like to join us (They've annoyed the barbarians now and cannot recall their northern forces at the risk of being overrunn) feel free to.

the Italia Landing force is much smaller than the Iberian Liberation Army, which is working with a group of rebels to push the roman borders back.
