Trapped!
I, Commander Steve, submit my first serious story to the FORUM!!

Alexander awoke Friday morning like he awoke every morning, fearing for his life, and that of his family. He wasn't a bad man, and he didn't do anything that wasn't in his family's best interests, what he did do was attempt to become a pinnacle of culture...with only ONE city.
Things started out great for him, he founded his city on a beautiful river, not too far from the ocean. He explored all of the lands surrounding this spot, uniting the barbarous tribes, and even learning useful skills, like the art of counting money and indeed, having money.
But those were the early years, and they weren't as fruitful as one would think. When his town began to grow, the people began to argue. He thought that the pain could be allieviated by putting the dissenters into worker groups, or having random men put fake bones through their heads, but these were temporary solutions, soon the worker groups had connected to other civilizations and their sprawling metropoli. This is where Alexander's troubles began.
