******Cars jammed the streets, people waited in lines at the stores, gas lines were a mile long, America was at war. San Bernardino was a sprawling metropolis, with over 2 million people. But all these two million people were on the streets now, buying food and gas, building bomb shelters in their back yards, this was the scene in all cities around America, except for the coastal cities, war was imminent, and everyone wanted to be prepared.
--------Huntington Beach, California-------
******Johnny ran back to his three story beach house, right on the beach. His dad was a doctor and his mom was a psychologist so he was pretty well off. He quickly ran inside and plopped down beside his family on the couch, the TV was on. “Yes, we have now confirmed it, the Iroquois have waged war upon us, White House spokesman Bill Downy had this to say, “Yes, we do have information that their troops are moving swiftly towards us, they are a few miles out from Las Vegas.” There you have it, troops have been dispatched to meet this threat, god help us. Johnny’s dad turned off the TV, well, once again the Government is going to screw us, Johnny rolled his eyes at his dad, his dad wanted a Socialist’s society, where everyone was equal, and they ruled the Government, Johnny always had to remind him that this would never work. Clark, Mrs. Yuri called, Johnny’s mom was calling from the kitchen,” Dinners ready guys!” Johnny and his dad ran to the kitchen, he heard his dad grumbling something about how corrupt Government was. They sat down at the dinner table, prayed, then ate. After Johnny was done eating he went to bed, he dreamt of himself being a soldier, and fighting the evil Iroquois, he would be a soldier someday, he would.
--------Las Vegas, Nevada--------
******Las Vegas, the lights, the music, the money, all buried underneath the rubble. The Iroquois army crushed the American forces there. Tattered American flags lay strewn across the land, neon lights flickered with their last life on the ground, cars burned, building crumbled, and fires raged, the Iroquois army took the once metropolis and turned it into nothing more than a colony, 95% of the population was wiped out, and the remaining population were slowly succumbing to death. A few people formed underground resistance groups, while others went with the Iroquois way of life.
--------The White House--------
******Lincoln sat down in the Oval Office, “You’re on in five sir” the camera man said. Lincoln cleared his throat, watched the fingers count down and addressed the nation, “ My fellow American’s, today we have witnessed how savage the Iroquois really are, they have murdered millions of innocent Americans, your brothers, sisters, moms, and dads, all murdered, and for what, so that the Iroquois can spread their rein of terror!? I urge every able man to grab their arms, join the fight for freedom, and fight for what you believe in! The Iroquois will pay for this atrocity, they will not go unpunished!” Lincolns aid walked up to him after the speech, “Very nice sir, you sounded very convincing.” Lincoln just nodded, “The American people are fools to think that we can win this war.” Lincoln walked out of the room, he walked out into the hall, on the floor there was an American flag, he stopped, spat on it, and continued on his way.

******From the TV’s point of view, there was an eager boy in his late teens sitting with a bowl of macaroni. Johnny was so excited he was shaking, he was sure he would be drafted, his parents wouldn’t let him join the army, so this was the only way. He watched as the numbers went by, hundred of them, wow he thought, this is serious. Then he saw it, just a glimpse but he was sure it was it, he was going to war!
******Johnny got into his new Acura RSX-S, only the best his parents had told him when he found it waiting in his driveway two months earlier. He stepped on the clutch, slowly released while stepping down on the gas, peeled out of the drive way, and onto the street. He drove extremely fast, first gear, second, third, he was flying through traffic, he drove into the Military parking lot, found a spot close to the main entrance and ran inside. Inside this seemingly normal building there was a flurry of activity, stations were set up everywhere, eye stations, speech stations, physical stations, everything, he looked admirable at the Marines viewing all this, many seemed unhappy to be there. He stepped in line behind a short guy with glasses. When he finally got to the front he gave his name and other things. Then he was directed into a room where he would take a test that would tell them where he would best be in the army, Johnny didn’t want to take this silly test, he already knew what he wanted to be, a Marine! After taking the test he went through all the stations, he passed all the tests then waited in a room for his test result. “John A. Downy!” the clerk called, “Here he replied.” Johnny looked over his test, then he turned to the back page, he almost died, “Artillery!” he cried. What! This can’t be right! A man in fatigues approached him, “Welcome aboard son.” Oh well he thought, he could work his way up, who knows, he might even learn something useful, so Johnny got his stuff and loaded it on the bus, after a few weeks of training he would go to war.
------National Gaurd Armory, Huntington Beach California--------******Training wasn’t all he thought it would be, every day they ran 15 miles, he’d never done so many pushups in his life, and the food was horrible. He learned a lot and made many new friends. The giant killing machines were actually pretty easy to operate, the Radar Artillery were very powerful machines, in practice he had hit all the intended targets, therefore he was promoted to Private First Class. He learned that they would go to the front lines tomorrow, he couldn’t wait.
-------The Las Vegas Desert, Las Vegas Nevada--------
******Outside Las Vegas the scene was horrible, ten army hummers approached the battle, Private First Class, John A. Downy stepped out of one of them. Quickly he and his men ran over to one of the Artillery’s that had been already set up, the enemy was advancing quickly, taking back this city wouldn’t’ be easy. He watched in envy as the brave Marines ran forth into the battle, the crack of machine gun fire filled the dry air, smoke rose from holes in the ground, bodies lay strewn across the land. He watched as tanks rolled by endlessly, every time one went in, it didn’t’ return, so this was battle he thought as he loaded in the first bomb, he covered his ears as the loud boom signaled that he had to reload again, he watched as the bomb flew high in the air, landing 600 yard away, missing the enemy barely, he would have to adjust the radar. The battle went on for hours and hours, bombs flew high in the air, so many that they crashed in midair, he tried frantically to get as many out as he could. More Marines came in, they ran into the smoke, killing machines they were, a gun lie on the ground next to Johnny, he desperately yearned to pick it up, just to fire once, he reached down, slowly so that nobody would notice, when all of a sudden a loud explosion from behind him, he watched as the Radar Artillery erupted into a fireball of flames, his friend fell from it burning, quickly Johnny grabbed a fire extinguisher and put out the fire, his friend was shaking, “ Medic!! Medic!! Over here, we need a Medic!” Just then a piece of shrapnel flew into the air striking Johnny in the head, he got dizzy, then everything started to go black, he desperately fought to stay conscious but to no avail, and then in a flash, the darkness overcame him.

******Johnny awoke two days later in a hospital bed in New York. A nurse was leaning over checking his charts, the steady beep of a heart monitor let him know he wasn’t dead. Next to him there was a man covered in a cast, and another man with his head bandaged up. The nurse came up to him, “Well hello sleepy head.” She said. “What happened?” Johnny asked. She looked at him confused, “Well I don’t’ really know, I just take care of them, I don’t know all their story’s.” Johnny feeling tired, went back to sleep.
--------Washington D.C. The White House--------
******Lincoln stood at the head of the table once again, all his advisors crowded around, over the past two days, the American forces had been defeated again and again. The General stood, “Lincoln! Our troops are getting massacred, we need to build up our military! I fear that more cities will fall if we do not!” “Yes Lincoln, he is right, we can’t hope to win with such a small military.” More of them chimed in, “We need to end this war quickly, we should make a peace treaty, the economy is suffering immensely!” “Enough!” Lincoln said. “Are you people cowards!? Do you not think we can win this war, we have been pushed around, bullied by the Iroquois for hundreds of years and I will not stand for it! We will continue to produce Wealth, all the money we make will help us rebuild once we defeat the evil Iroquois, and if anyone has a problem with that they can leave!” Everyone just sat, “Very well then.” Lincoln said, and stormed out of the room. He walked down the hall, turned left at the drinking fountain, and into the Oval Office. “Once again sir, very convincing!” Why thank you Fox. Tell me one thing though, why do the Iroquois always have names that have to do with nature? Fox just smiled, “You know, I really don’t know.” They both laughed heartily. Lincoln sat down in his chair, “They are getting restless, I have delayed changing production, but it won’t be for long.” Fox looked him in the eyes, “That’s ok, with all the billions we make from Wealth we won’t need anymore, its funny, the Governments getting their money taken right from under there noses.” Lincoln chuckled, “So the plans are set, after your army begins to push further into the U.S., your people will make outrageous demands, so outrageous that they will have to agree with me and refuse.” “Yes that’s the plan all right, we expect the first payment tomorrow, half is yours, the other half is ours agreed.” Lincoln nodded his head and smiled, “Yes agreed, you’ll get it tomorrow, I’ll be in touch.” And with that, Fox left the office. Fox walked down the hall, nodding at guards, they all knew him as the Presidents Latin tutor, he smiled, stupid American’s he thought. He walked out the front doors and out the gate into the bustling streets of Washington where he disappeared into the crowd.
--------Phoenix, Arizona--------
******Iroquois planes pounded Phoenix. The city, with a population of 1.5 million had been reduced to no more than 200,000 inhabitants. Musket man fired their guns into the air hoping to strike one of the terrors that flew above. Iroquois tanks could be seen just over the top of the hill, hundred of them, all in a line, ready to destroy anyone and anything in its path. The American musketman lined up behind makeshift shields, cars were flipped, sand bags were piled, and walls we cut down to make little shields. Only a few brave fighters remained, they knew the walls they had built could not stand the full assault of the Modern Armor, tanks weren’t scheduled to arrive until tomorrow, but would they even be there tomorrow?

******Johnny walked around at the military base, he had just woken up and was a little dazed. He had been called to the Generals office. Johnny walked down the seemingly endless halls and finally stopped at the big door with four stars on it, and in big bold letters it read “General.” He knocked on the door, it was opened instantly. Johnny stepped inside, a reporter stood taking pictures and asking him questions. How do you feel? How were you injured? Do you remember what happened? Johnny answered all this with a “no comment.” The disappointed and somewhat irritated journalist left the room. The General stood, “Come in come in, sit down, please.” Johnny sat in one of the chairs directly in front of his desk. “You’re a lucky man son, you were the only one who survived that day.” Johnny looked at him confused and shocked, “Say that again sir.” “I said, you were the only one that survived that day, 150 men lost, and you survived.” Johnny didn’t know what to say, so he said what he really wanted to know, “When can I go back into battle sir? The General looked surprised, but a smile came across his face, “Well son, I’m glad you asked, you see, Lincoln has ordered that all our artillery be scrapped, he says that they are a waste of man power, and that they don’t do anything anyways, silly man, he doesn’t know what real war is, its almost like he wants us to lose! But anyways, like I was saying, so we don’t need you in artillery, what we really need you to do is drive a tank, you and three other guys have been assigned to a Mech Infantry, you will go through one day of training, Lincoln has also cut our military funding so we need you in the battlefield, tomorrow you will head for Phoenix, good luck soldier!” Johnny stood to leave, “Oh ya, and one more thing soldier, the Army thought it good to promote you, congratulations Corporal.” Johnny went out to the training grounds, the men he would be working with seemed to be pretty nice, after a day of training he felt that he could handle anything, when the final bell rang he was more than happy to turn in for the night, tomorrow he would head off the battle once again, his dream of being a Marine was more and more becoming a reality.

Oh my gosh, is everybody a critic! lol, i don't know anythign really about the army, just what i see on T.V.. Johnny in this story is in the army and has to do all these other things besided be a Marine, a person, a marine person, with a gun, and stuff, that shoots, lol, i don't knwo if that made any sense or made you guys understand better, sorry my storys kinda confusing though.

******Beverly Hills, California, where the rich and famous roam freely. The General of the United States walked out of his room at the Raffles L’Ermitage and walked down to the elevator, he pressed the L button which would take him to the Lobby. He stepped out of the elevator into the somewhat vacant lobby, he walked to the left and stepped into the restaurant, here they served European food with a touch of Asian added in, but he was not here to eat. The General sat down at a far corner table, he had a very important meeting with a very important someone who had information regarding the Presidents recent actions, the man he was supposed to meet would be wearing a tuxedo with silver pen in his right ear, he would pull up in his Mercedes. The General ordered a drink, anytime now he would find out what Lincoln was really about.
--------Washington D.C. The White House--------
******Lincoln shielded his eyes as Marine One, the Presidents helicopter, landed on the White House lawn. With the engine still running Lincoln got in and they took off into the night sky. The view of Washington at night was stunning, but Lincoln wasn’t looking, he had seen this view many times already, it bored him, soon he wouldn’t have to see it ever again. At the airport Lincoln was taken by Limousine to the waiting 747-200 B aircraft, or Air Force One. Millions of the American tax dollars had been spent on the giant plane, it held the worlds most sophisticated systems, radar, telephone, internet, everything. Waiting aboard the plane was none other than the Presidents personal Latin tutor, the President needed to catch up, so arrangements were made so he could do it while he traveled. Lincoln sat down in the conference room chair, Fox stared at him from across the table. The engines roared to life, the crew had advised him to sit in a proper chair for takeoff, but he was the President, he could do whatever he wanted. When the plane finally leveled out Fox began, “Lincoln, we are happy to inform you that we have received our first payments, our leader is very happy, which makes me happy. But I have some bad news, there is someone in your Government who knows, someone knows what we are up to, someone has been sniffing around where they shouldn’t!” Lincoln looked frightened, “What! How can this be, we have been extra careful! Who! Who knows!?” Fox smiled, “Ahh, American’s, they will cheat, murder, steal, do anything without a second thought, but when you have a chance of getting caught, you grabble like babies, ha!” Lincoln was getting angry, “How can you sit here and laugh like this!?” “If you are done wining, I have already taken care of it. They will not live to tell anyone about us.”

******The streets of Beverly Hills were nothing Yim’s Mercedes CL55 AMG couldn’t handle, his car fit in quite well in Beverly Hills. The 5.5L 24 – Valve V-8 engine could put out 355 horsepower at 5,500 rpm’s. He slowed down the Blvd as the light turned red. Yim was nervous, he was about to expose the biggest scandal in the history of the world, in an hour it would be on the front page of the news, the President would be impeached immediately, and all members of Government would be checked thoroughly. As he waited impatiently, two black Lexus GS 300’s stopped on either side of him. Yim looked at one of them, he looked and saw that a gun was pointed right at him, instantly Yim stepped down on the clutch, slowly releasing while pushing down on the gas he took of, first gear, second, third, his car went from 0 to 60 in 5.7 seconds. The two other cars pursued him, but their cars only had 4.3L V-8 engines, their 300 horse power had trouble keeping up. Yim had learned to handle his car expertly, with the hundred grand he had put into it, he didn’t want a scratch on it so he was used to driving like this. He weaved in and out of traffic, the cars behind him miraculously kept up with him, bullets pierced through the back windshield, glass shattered and lay over the floor of his car. It seemed he could not lose them. Traffic began to pile up ahead, he took a left turn narrowly missing few cars. Once again he accelerated leaving his pursuers in the dust. He slowed down just a bit, he had to make it to the restaurant, America depended on it. He sped up, just a little as to not draw attention, he turned right onto the main street, traffic was hectic here, it would delay him almost ten minutes, he looked in his rear view mirror, the two black cars were there! They wouldn’t dare to shoot him in public, all he could do was wait in traffic, all the time he thought of an escape plan.
--------Somewhere Over Nevada, Air Force One--------
******Lincoln sat up, “So has the problem been taken care of?” Fox smiled, “Their working on it, he’ll be taken care of shortly, stop worrying Lincoln. Now Lincoln, the Iroquois are loosing to many troops on the battlefield, this was not part of the agreement Lincoln. Now I understand that you are sending reinforcements into Phoenix tomorrow, that will not do Lincoln, that will not do at all. We have planned this attack for weeks Lincoln, you know that, how are we supposed to work out our deal if the American forces defeat us again and again?” Lincoln put his hand on his chin, “Yes I see your point, I’ll see if I can convince the General to delay the deployment, we have discovered flying, I have ordered our scientists to keep it a secret so your planes can bomb our roads freely, the bombing run will still be tomorrow as planned right?” “Yes Lincoln, will your troops be in position, we want to take out as many as we can. The great Iroquois empire will kill the American’s once and for all, we will rule all of North America, than the world.

******Johnny looked out the window at the passing scenery, he was aboard a train heading straight for Phoenix, they said they would be arriving within hour. Nothing but desert for the past 200 miles, how do people actually live out here, he thought. Johnny lay down hoping to catch some shut eye before he had to fight, when he had just gotten situated the train came to a grinding halt. Johnny fell to the floor, what the heck! People were flooding out of their compartments to see what was going on, just then a voice came over the loud speaker, “Sorry folks, it seems an oil truck has stalled on the tracks about 5 miles up, we’ll have to wait till its cleared before we can go, so just sit back and relax.” Johnny couldn’t believe it, Phoenix would be lost if they didn’t get there soon. All he could do was sit and wait.
--------Beverly Hills, California--------
******Patrol man Don Connelly was just stuffing down the last of his donuts when a Mercedes and two Lexus’s screeched around the corner. Spilling coffee on him self he flipped on his sirens and lights, “This is officer Connelly, I have three vehicles, a silver Mercedes and two black Lexus’s heading east down the Blvd!” Yim played with the gears as he sped faster down the streets, he looked in his mirror and saw flashing red and blue lights, good, maybe that would stop his pursuer. He sped around another corner with them in hot pursuit, he looked back again, gun fire erupted from the car behind him, and right when he was about to look down the police car was blown to pieces as it rolled down the street and into a palm tree. “Holy @^&#!” Yim swerved his car to the left, then to the right again, he looked back, only one of the cars was following him now. He accelerated quickly, he had almost lost the first car when from the left the second car rammed into the side of his car sending Yim spinning into a light post, bruised and bloody Yim tried to escape, he fought with the air bag and managed to get free, he tried the door but it was jammed. Two men in black suits approached to car, one looked down at Yim with a smile, the other pulled some kind of metal object from his pocket and placed it under the car, with a smile and a wave they walked back to their slightly damaged cars and drove off. Yim tried again and again to get out but he couldn’t, as the beepings got faster the more his heart thumped, across the street a couple was walking by, one pulled out a cell phone to call an ambulance while the other stared. Yim yelled, “Help me quick, help….” Yim never finished his sentence, the car exploded sending shrapnel 50 feet, the frame bent crushing Yim’s body while he burned to death, later the Coroner would have to identify him by his dental records, Lincoln had eliminated the only person that could expose him, only a few more days and it would all be over.
--------Phoenix, California--------
******The sun sat high in the sky, burning everything in its vision. The American troops, numbering little, were exhausted. The heat was beginning to take its tole on them. All of them were in the city, the commander had gotten specific orders from the President himself to guard certain areas, and who would object to the President. Tanks sat baking in the sun while the troops stood under whatever shade they could find. Commander Sharp Arrow picked up his binoculars, “Ahh, the American dogs are right where we want them, alert the airfield, we will end this once and for all!” They didn’t even have enough time to run, by the time they saw the Iroquois planes roaring overhead it was to late, 85% of the American forces in Phoenix were wiped out within minutes, and the remaining injured were slaughtered by the Iroquois ground troops. The Iroquois killed all the resisters, burning them in the town square as an example for anyone else who decided to follow suit. Aboard Air Force One congratulations were in order, Lincoln shook Fox’s hand, one step closer to a glorious empire.
