I feel your pain, Barfus. Having just spent about two hours trying to prove the identitis of the boolean equations:

and

CD + AB + AC + AC + AB + CD = (A + B + C + D)(A + B + C + D)

I finally succeeded and am now happy as a clam. The head still hurts from beating it against the wall, though.
