  • Jon the Hun : The Scourage of God

Jon woke up one morning in a bad mood; messagenrs had recently told him that Rome had divided itself into two halves but didn't give him his share and neither would the Sassidens nor any of the Germanic peoples.

    That could not be tolerated!

So, Jon immedately set out and covertly secret progranda to Rome, the Sassidens, and the Germanic peoples that the 8th city of there's falling well herald the end of the world and when it comes they should scatter and run away from all cities still standing.

Meanwhile he deployed his nomands in a fanshion that resulted in all but two of them founding cities along rivers, (one for Iron), and also took in the furs to keep people semi-happy.

He then had those cities build a worker and barbarian warrior each, followed by a baracks and then lots of barb warriors as fast as they could be produced.

He ignored most sciences and instead beelined staright to Barbarian leadership, trading barb techs with the germanic barbs in exchange for the normal techs, not that the normal techs had anything interesting right away, but the very last one would allow bridges, which might come in handy one day.

Upon geting leadership, Jon began the progress in the capital of famously writting down tails of how he was going to smash East Rome to bits which would lead them to call him the Scourage of God, and researched the training on how to make War Lords and hooked up his Iron to the trade network the turn before competelig that research.

Upon getting that knowelge, Jon immedately upgraded a bunch of warriors into War Lords and sent them in a first wave strike against East Rome. Science was then turned basically off to save cash until those upgrades were complete.

A second wave was then sent towards West Rome, and then a third wave towards the Sassidans. But did Jon tip off the Romans that we was on his way? No! He waited until the first wave ran into the first Roman city and sacked it. The Sass and Germanic tribes were then handed money to help destroy Rome, not that Jon thought the Germanic tribes were any good, but in hopes that everyone would lose a few cities.

Jon timed things out very well, the waves reaching West Rome arrived there right before the 8th city fell from East Rome and the rest of the East Romans abandonded their cities and ran to the four winds. Jon was then recongized as the Scourage of God which allowed another Warlord to arise every five turns in his capital, effectively doubling it's warlord production rate. West Rome then collapsed right as the forces arrived into the Sass, and Jon's fury collapsed their empire in only a few turns.

But was Jon's blood lust fully satisifed? No! That very same year he lauched a massive attack on the easternmost Germanic tribes, with a force several times larger than those sent against the previous oppoents. That empire fell quicker. But Jon's blood lust wasn't satisfied, so he kept going west into the next oppoent, and the next.

Evenually, when only the Anglesaxons, Franks, and Celts were left, the Anglesaxons having lost seven cities, the Franks six, and the Celts five, their rulers saw the light and gave Jon domination of their empires as well. This was a death bed conversion for the Anglesaxons because Jon's forces were adjoining one of their cities. And Jon would have had no need to build ships to sack the Celtic empire due to the Celts having three cities in Western France.

In the end, Jon only had a major concentration of cities in the Ukraine and Southern Russia, but also had a few isolated cities near luxaries in Turkey and Iran. But his forces were everywhere, stationed in the ruins of old Roman cities through the Mederatian from North Africa to the Middle East to Italy.

His scientists had also discovered all the Rome Strikes Back techs, but those were all deemed useless and were not acted upon.

AI: I sure wish Jon would hurry up and complete his turn, he's been at it for over 1,200,000 milliseconds now.
