As far as I know, I'm probably the only person here who has specifically attempted to win first place so that I can get a discount anyways

I didn't try to imply that the desire for a discounted T-Shirt is the thing that lead to "animosity". It must have been bad wording on my part. I was merely pointing out that right now, the contest ain't what it's supposed to be.

Well, that's certainly true enough.

though I also think it's important to point out that the forum is in better shape now than it was in december of last year (I think) or sometime around then- I remeber forgetting to access the forum for 1-2 months and not missing very much in regards to my Story Contest Duties... at least now we have some nominations and tales... things are bad, but not quite horrible.

There's no reason, though, that we should let them continuing sliding towards horrible.
