i preordered from amazon. when will i GET the game? will it be delivered to me on the day it comes out, or what?

The release date for Amazonas is 31. October,
so they will start to ship the game that day.
So if you're estimated delivery time is 5 days,
you receive your copy on 5. November. Got it?

Sorry, but you got it wrong. The 5th was just
        an example.

        Let me explain...

The item page for Civ III BTE @ Amazon.com
        states following info:

This item will be released on October 31, 2001. You may order it now and we will ship it to you when it arrives.

Now, if I understand correctly, you have ordered
the item to UK, right? In that case, the shipping times
for Europe are following (depending of type of delivery; check
        your A.com profile for details)...

        Priority International Courier
        2 to 4 Business Days

        Expedited International Shipping
        5 to 10 Business Days

        Standard International Shipping
        11 to 18 Business Days

        And if USA, then...

        UPS Next Day Air
        1 Business Day

        UPS Second Day Air
        2 Business Days

        Standard Shipping
        3 to 7 Business Days

Please note that if you have ordered other
items, this might delay the shipment's arrival
(refering to the help section of A.com).

I have preordered my BTE to Finland with
expedited shipment, so I should receive my
        copy on 5.-10.11.

Or, if you check the other thread 'Amazon.com now say they will not ship outside U.S.', you'll see that they have changed the details on the page to say this, and a guy who emailed to check his order that he placed before the change, got a mail saying they will not now send it to him
