  • MP related return policy

What is the policy regarding returns because of the lack of MP (for pre-orders)? Some of the sites had advertised MP as part of the package and we now now that was cut from this release.

It seems ethical to honor returns because of this issue.

Well they could turn it around and say people didn't bother to pay attention to the order info AND you can cancel a preorder any time.

      The advertisement said MP included.

If the people did not get notices sent explaining the change, then they are justified in a return, no??

There was a long silence period about MP. Firaxis wouldn't even answer wether MP was included. So people are justified in returns...

nevertheless, you are now aware that there is no MP, and you are also aware that you can cancel orders before they ship (which, they havn't shipped yet.)

Unless you want to intentionally cause problems that don't NEED to be caused, just to raise a stink and be a pain in the arse, what are you going on about? You're a bigger boy than that, GP.

            1. Hey I WAS trolling, OK?
            2. There may be some people who don't know about the no MP yet.
            3. They played it pretty coy with the lack of MP. Did not release the info as soon as known, etc. AND NOw PEOPLE are supposed to know that it was removed?

It's a valid post, even if a troll.

There are likely still MPers out there who placed pre-orders but have not yet been informed of the change. "Coy" is an overcharitable way of describing Firaxis' actions.

ambiguous?, equivocal?, shifty?, Clintonian?, dasterdly, dishonest?, not forthcoming?

Pick one or give me the right word to show the exact tone appropriate.

Unethical. As soon as they knew it wasn't in, they should have announced it. By waiting until the last moment to announce, Firaxis knowingly kept in the dark people who pre-bought Civ 3 on the expectation of MP.
