  • EB US Release Date bumped up

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but I just returned from my local EB. They said that the street date (the date they will have it in the stores) has been bumped up a day to October 30th (Tuesday!).

Some sort of official announcement came down and they were told to tell their customers this new date. When asked they said both the LE and regular editions were supposed to be released the same date.

They also said the stat guide was moved back to Nov 1st (for those that are interested)

Not sure if this new date only applies to the US or not.

It seems you're right. If you look at www.civ3.com now, it says release countdown: 05 days. That would put it at Oct 30.

          Sweet!!!
The greatest generals in history didn't use war simulations, they just played Civ 2

Yeah, that is true. On EB site they say that they ship on October 29, which means that you can find the game in the store next day.

I thought for sure that had been true for awhile.

Doesn't matter though cuz I won't get the game til the 31st

Is only EB getting it early, or are other major store also getting it?

So much for that extra day of work! Wow, and New Orleans even supports two EBs! I never knew the three people with computers here bought so many games!

                            Freaky math...

I'm getting the game late on wednesday, a school night...
See I have school, then go out to dinner (cuz it's my bday) then I watch Enterprise, then I'll get the game at 9. That leaves only two hours to play, my parents are too keen on me skipping for a game...
