No! You're all wrong! It's set for October 127th!

Agreed. I have the full game and it's great, but i'm stuck in level 7. Damn helicopters.

Civ3? I'll order it soon. It will be really annoying to see all these Americans playing Civ while we will be posting in the forums.

Hello all, my first post here (I am a long time Civ player though)

I work for EB in the UK, and as far asI know the release date is 16th November. Other posters were quite right to point out the UK practice of releasing games on a Friday.

I doubt we will actually get any copies sent to us before the 13th, but it has happened that we've recieved games a week or so before they are due. Unfortunetly, there is now way it will be released before the official date - the consequences are to great for the shop concered.

Hope this sheds some light on the issue.
        Later,

Im guessing that if is does arrive at your store before the release date, a copy of Civ 3 will somehow get onto your computer early
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

I say trust Infogrames UK. They are the publishers after all. Everything else is second-hand information, and may be distorted.

              November 16th seems probable.

Of course, because you see we are allowed to borrow games for a few days to try them out. Strictly for product knowledge purposes you understand!

I preordered my copy at EB a couple of weeks ago, and was quoted the 16th then.
When I got home, I took a look at the EB store on Sky Digital, and they were quoting a date somewhere around the 8th November (I forget when exactly).

Anyone in the UK near a Sky box at the moment, who could take a look?

Not sure about the Sky thing, but the EB website also quotes 16th November. Click below:

What's wrong with ordering it from Amazon.com?

Assuming it arrives on the 30th October + 4 days for shipping = possible UK date 3rd November

..or won't Amazon.com sell to Uk customers
tis better to be thought stupid, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

But they may not deliver it until the 16/11, going by my past expriences ordering pre-release software from the US.

                              The pay ain't great though...

Ah well, you can't have everything.
