I like Canada too. Hey - I live here. But do we really want to be peacekeepers. Or have a leader's aid who calls other leaders' morons. And who will be the leader - Pierre Trudeau, or Shania Twain. OK - that one was easy.
On a more serious note, I see the warmongers are taking the Chinese. I like Religious and Militaristic - I like the Celts. The unique unit looks OK. GA comes early though.
V for Vikings - pretty strong UU, but expansionist never did much for me. Also, the PTW manual says that Berserkers have amphibious attack capability. Anybody tried that out yet. If we end up with an island world - might be useful. And that 6 attack strength. Hmmm..
How about the Japanese - I gotta be honest - in all the times I've played civ III, I've never played the Japanese.
Persians - not a big fan of the traits, but the UU works.
How about a twist on the new team - we take the Germans. Long way to go until the GA.
It looks like two teams are duking it out over the Egyptians.
And the classics - Romans and Greeks - have always been OK in my books. I love the hoplites for the early grab and defend game.
So - Celts - Persians - Japanese or V for Vikings - Greeks - in that order. I know - lots of choices. Celts are still number 1. Gotta love swordsmen who run as fast as horses.
Any word on our private forum? And our team still says four members? What gives.Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

Celts are a good choice esp. if we plan on warring in the ancient age.
Japan is a great civ. Very handy uu in the early middle age.
I used to love the Aztecs, but their uu comes just too early. I just like native americans being as I am part native american.
If we want something more peacful babylonians aren't too shabby. Carthagians aren't bad as a peacetime civ either. Their uu is expensive but is useful for a very long time.
Also in a hotseat game I was using for testing purposes (by myself 8 human civs), the Ottomans did fairly well. I haven't played them all the way through though. And haven't tested their uu.

So is EgyptIs God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

Can you get ICQ? It will be much more easier to discuss stuff this way instead of emails and PMs."Beware of he who would deny you access to information, for in his heart he dreams himself your master" - Commissioner Pravin Lal.
