            Basically it is just a scheme of parallelism. That and coffee was a symbol of how Misato reformed herself. That kinda worked in with the whole Kaji thing.

            Just more parallelism, but it doesn't mean Rei is Asuka or anything like that. That was just the injuries that Asuka suffered.

                    Apparently there is this anime called Reign that is about Macedonia or something.

                      Ever heard of berserk? its a real dark anime... its theme pretty much, middle age war, demons, rape and good ol inquisition. You can bet theres alot of contemplating about frailty of one's life and how cruel world can be things from the inquistion part of the anime...

                      The main character is notorious for surviving all odds. The fans kinda make a joke of that.
