  • Playing the first turn before game starts

Calc II had an idea about playing the first turn before the game starts. The aim is to know if a team has a very poor starting position, and it will allow us to ctrl+shift+Q without delaying the true game.

    Question is :
Should we play the first turn before game starts ?

    Answers :
    YES
    NO

    To abstain, do not vote

The poll will last 3 days.
    21
    YES
    80.95%
    17
    NO
    19.05%
    4

    The poll is expired.

btw, we still havn't decided, who goes first.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

      Gargh I hate you

Starting position. What is a starting position?

In my opinion, a terrible starting position is place where
there is little land. Only sea as far as eye can see. There are no rivers and wastelands all over.
(Perhaps some luxuries but thats all)

You cannot find out in the first turn... it might look ok at first.
By the following 10 round perhaps you'll realize the terra-defeat?
My words are backed with hard coconuts.

Well my aim wasn't necessary to determine wether to restart, (though that could be important as well) but more to go into turnchat KNOWING your surrounding so we can predetermine some kind of plan instead of wasting time during turnchat discussing with your teammate about what to do. This way turnchat will run MUCH smoother. Spiffor is also right in that we may have to restart a few times because different team may request for restart and thus we may have to restart more than once, so we don't wanna waste time restarting during turnchat as well.
            :-p
