  • What victory-conditions should be on?

D*mned, where is our pollmaster when you need him

ok, I'll do it myself then

If there 's going to be a builders team, I think it would only be just to leave all options on.
(classic ones, not the new ptw ones)

If you dissagree, please say so in the post.

    I'm right here.

    Where's conquest?

And you don't really need the first option, since if people want all victory conditions on they could just check all the boxes.

We should also allow Loot the Princess.

I haven't played with victory tiles, but that might be interesting.

just thought it would be easier to include it

Is conquest necesairy ( almost the same as domination isn't it?)

Your first poll and you botched it twice!

Being complete and thorough in 'official' polling is a good idea. Keeps people from complaining and it's just plain good policy.

I vote all. Does it need an explanation?

I vote all classic options. No new options.

I say leave them all on....no one's is likely to win culturally anyways and diplomatic would just be too chancy for anyone to try it.

While diplomatic victory might be unlikely, I wouldn't rule out cultural. It's doubtful that a team will be able to completely defeat another one (or especially more), making the space and cultural victories much more likely. If one civ gets too powerful, then you'll find the others planning its destruction.

This poll should be closed and a new one started listing each and every victory condition and allowing multiple choices.

Any choice receiving 50% or more should be allowed as one of the victory conditions. Those with less than 50% would not be chosen when the game begins.

Agreed. That's how we set up the poll over this issue for the Civ 3 demo game.

The new options will skew the game.

Regicide causes the AI to turtle. They will not build many cities. Maybe none.

Elimination is for duels. It can suck in those too. Lose a city, lose the game (you are knocked out and all your cities are rubble).

Capture the Princess is for scenarios with VPs.

None of these should be considered.
