Excuse me I am a newbie to the site.
Can you explain what game are you talking about?
    Teams for what?
    Thanks a lot.

I figured I ought to put up some sort of PTW Demo Game FAQ, but I was too lazy.

Basically what we're doing is forming teams of a certain amount of human players to control teams in a PTW PBEM MP game. Each 'team' controls a civ, while the team as a whole decides upon what the civ does in the game. That's why it's called a "Democracy Game".

      Translated into English:
PTW - Play The World (newly released expansion for Civ3
PBEM - Play by E-mail (a method of playing multi-player games)
      MP - Multi-Player
Trip - No definition exists, an enigma of confusion.

A whole team acts as a single person would act in a regular play-by-Email game. Hence, individuals within the team are to vote, and to elect people at responsibility posts.
Each responsable ("minister") plays a given role and doesn't indulge on other "ministers" duties : for example, the chief diplomat will NOT give orders reguarding the movement of troops.

That's really cool, thanks for the info.
Me and one civ addicted friend
had written an email to Firaxis before
Civ3 was out with a wish list.
One of the ideas was making multiplayer
games with different roles. Evey player controls a part of the empire or has a specific role. Your idea is very close to that, I like it. Thanks again.

Except for the role-play team, where Togas (as Supreme Leader under Despotism) will be able to overrule whoever he wants

Some teams have progessed to a more tribal model of consensus building and inclusion. To bad you won't see the inside of our long houses anytime soon.
