Ennet - the "bob" discussion was in our civ3democracy game, and we were trying to decide what to name continents or oceans or something, but someone commented that it seems that on our own planet (earth that is) every continent began and ended with the same letter. "E-urop-E" or "A-si-A", etc etc,. So someone said 'lets call it BOB'. ahh memories.

I suppose you had to have been there.

ahh, and here was I thinking it was some obscure Blackadder reference :dyzzy:
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

Why not have every team call the planet in their own "language", as is done in real life? So one team could call the world Bobba after their ancient goddess of earth, and another Trippina after the goddess that is the ancestress of the dynasty, another could call it Maailima after the Finnish goddess, or if they are Finns who want to play the Arabs, they would call it المعالمة (Ma'alima) to make it sound Arabic, etc. Apolytonia or Apolyta (Άπολυτ&#945) could be the formal scientific name that almost no one uses except for science fiction writers, as Terra is here

"Terra inconito" seems fitting (in both ways)

                  and if it's inconitA, I don't care!!!

Has anyone ever seen Titan A.E. (After Earth)?

It's like a cartoon movie and Earth exploded so they search for a new planet, there are 2 people who claim the new planet and the guy names the new planet 'Bob'. So I'm voting for Bob.

I actually thought that was the origin or the 'Bob' thing.
