The goal of this team seems worthy enough of joining I'm in.

I rather think a simple convention of civility towards all will do with a small group.

Anarchy is a strange and often misunderstood term. It boils down to developing consensus. Not everyone will ever get what they want. But as a group of reasonable individuals, I think we can figure out the ways to get along and get the job done. Getting the job done would mean bringing the silver home for alva to guard.

As far as the Romans are concerned... this is not just my team, so I do not think to foist my preference on all. But yes, I do favour the Legions for myself. Kind of helped begin the cult to them that is still evident from time to time in some places here abouts...

I agree with this. 11 or 13 members would be better than 10 or 12.

I don't really mind what Civ we have, but I think it should be Religious. We'll need the culture, cheap temples/cathedrals for happiness and short anarchy IMHO.

I'll go with the consensus, however.

We are examining the worthiness of various civs. I think we will do more by PM in the next few days...

Can two teams pick the same Civ? Does PTW support that?

If not then we should 1) decide ASAP so someone else doesn't steal it. 2) make sure we check someone else hasn't picked it already.

If we can both pick the same Civ then ignore me.

No. Neither do we have to create a $mini-game.

About the civ to choose: What about making a PM'd poll of preferred traits and then let's choose our civ out of the winning 2 (or if the civ is occupied, of the 1st and 3rd or so on). If several civs are tied (as it's in mil/rel for instance), choose the one with the best ancient UU (crucial in MP).

                      constitution =

We're all reasonable people here, I think we can regulate ourselves.

Besides, if we will (eventually) get a private team forum then someone (NYE?) can always ask Markos to remove a trouble-maker's ability to view the forum if for any reason they ruin the game for the rest of us. That won't happen, though.

I'll go with consensus as well, but I think in one way or another the best traits to tye in somehow are religious, commercial, or industrial. Ixnay on the militaristic expansionists.... although a military civ would be acceptable too... well hell, I suppose it doesn't matter...

I do like the Romans as well though, have beaten the gave every time I've played as them, so they've got my vote. I was just hoping to be one of the new civz....

One thing I just do not get is how come Frustrated Poet gets a cool custom avatar as a Prince, and yet I as a Prince cannot? And it's not just him, but I've noticed this in alot of other threads as well! Something sheisty in my opinion...

500 posts are required to get a custom avatar.

                            You need 92 more.
