Hi all,
I'm having trouble switching over to alternative terrain art (like Warpstorm's watercolor set). I replaced my original civ3X file with a mod version with different rules (the AU mod). This works as expected: the game cannot tell the difference in rules when I use New Game or whatever. I assumed I could also pull this trick for the terrain art, without having to replace all the original art files. If I understand the feature correctly, I should be able to type "Warpstorm Watercolor Terrain" as a folder name in the Scenario Search Folders box in the Scenario Properties of my custom civ3X file, and get the new graphics when I start a new game. But this does not work.
I know of two alternatives: 1) backup and replace the standard art files, and 2) always use "Load Scenario" when starting a game with new terrain art. My questions is: do I have to resort to one of these two, or am I just doing something wrong with my first method?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
