Proper stack movement and rally points! And some interesting features in the editor, especially regarding movement costs and overrides. -

Yes. Just to play the Ottmans and overrun my old enemies with sipahis is worth €30 I payed for it.
The upgrade path for units are improved. New city improvments gives more choises and boring episodes in some endgame get shorter.
The only complain I have is the new anti-copying sceme that annoy honest buyers but not deterr crackers.Comment

Yes. New civs, new units, better AI (at building anyway) make it worth it. Civ III patches are all incorporated.

In addition to the improvements mentioned by others (which I thought were worth the A$49 I paid) you also get some mods/scenarios and maps. The Double your Pleasure mod is absolutely first rate.Comment
