The patch not for Europeans?

I have a question about the patch. I wanted to download the patch v1.14f from firaxis.com. However it says on the page: "IMPORTANT NOTE: This patch is designed for the US version only and is incompatible with any European version of Civilization III: Play the World." Is there no reason for me to install this patch, since I live in Europe? Do I have to live without the fixes, or will Firaxis make a European patch too?

I really wish Infogrames could get their act together. You are about the fifteenth person to ask about this in these forums.

Go to the apolyton.com page and into the civ III link. There is a link from the patch center to an Infogrames site that contains a european version of the 1.14 patch.

You need this version if your copy of PTW comes up with the Macrovision copy protection screen when you start the game.
