    Multiplayer Over A Router Problems

HELP! HELP! HELP! HELP! HELP! HELP!

I am sharing an internet connection between two computers through a router. If the two computers are playing two different multiplayer over the Internet, they both can log on fine and the games work. If the two computers are playing the same game over the Internet, the game will not load it counts down and then a get that "Firewall Error." The two computers can play a game together over a local network.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks.

sounds like both machine are trying to use the same port number to comminicate with. you might want to see if you can change that somewhere. i havent seen one, but then again, i have not looked real hard either.
I spend most my money on Wine, Women and Song.. the rest i just waste.

If your are sharing your internet connection and your router is doing NAT, then you are sharing the same IP address, and since I have not seen anything that allows for the port numbers to be changed in PTW, then you are probably stuck. In order for me to be able to play over the net, behind a router performing nat I had to statically map all the ports used by PTW to my specific machine.

      Check out http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=66350

for nat issues and how to resolve them..

Good luck, if you find a way to change the used port numbers let me know

        Have you tried Direct IP?

I am not sure if it would help, but it would be worth a shot.
