  • Cheating In Civ3 ?

This is not meant as a play by play on how to cheat ...so please don't post instructions. It would likely be locked or scrubbed.

    The reason for this thread:

As an admin of the the CIV3PTW league, it's been brought to my attention that one player (who shall remain nameless) seems to have consistently grabbed an amazing points lead very quickly in a game. Maybe he or she is just that good but I've been asked to investigate. I prefer to think they are just good players.

Does anyone think it is possible to somehow modify PTW, to give a player an advantage in a non scenario game ? Is it possible to change ini files to accelerate production/technology etc even for a player who is not hosting ?

Just asking ... like I said please don't post detailed instructions ... just comment if you think it is or not possible. Thanks in advance.

I don't think it is, but I could be wrong.

A simple way to get an amazing points lead in MP is to set your luxury slider up a notch in the beginning of the game. Doing this easily gives 1.5x the points over those who don't.

You can in PBEM, although it takes alot of work.

There is a loophole that will give you certain bonusses, it's described in the PBEM forum, topped thread.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
