  • Fried Banana Sandwiches

I've been playing Mass Regicide (hey, seven free scout units with 2x movement), when all my Chairman Moa's turned into Elvis and started demanding Fried Banana sandwiches.

Now I'm busy looking for the banana resource, a new luxury I hope.

It's Elvis' birthday. A little easter egg that Firaxis put in the Regicide game. I think it's kinda cool.

For those who of you who didn't get a chance to play Civ 1. Elvis used to be one of the advisors back then. Firaxis is just acknowledging their roots with this latest incarnation.

There were advisors in Civ1? I thought Elvis was for Civ2?

I believe he was the Domestic Advisor. It's been awhile though, so I don't remember exactly.

Tub has got it right, who was the militairy advisor again?

Famous actor (blackadder, claudius,..), he recently attempted to climb Everest. Always forget hit name..

Brian Blessed? Is that right (if it was him uberhaupt , could just my imagination )

Aha! I knew it wasn't my imagination playing tricks on me! A funny little easter egg, especially when Mao is represented as an Elvis unit.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't Brian Blessed. He was pretty cool though.

Not Brian Blessed. The quote I remember was "General, you're letting our crack troops go to waste" (adviser puts cigar back into mouth).

                          I warmonger a lot more in civ3.

Elvis was in Civ1... sorta... the entertainer citizens in the city screen were a guitar-donned Elvises.
