I wonder if anyone can help me with this.
I bought the english version of Civ3, then I was uninspired enough to buy the french version of PTW. The clowns at the store told me the two are compatible. Well, not really. The french PTW keeps asking for directories with frnch names for units. For instance, in the Art directory, there is the Warrior sub-directory, containing the flics and sounds for the warrior unit. Well, the french version is looking for a sub-directory called Guerriers. I thought installing the patch for the english version would solve this. Now I have english menus and civilopedia, but it is still looking for Guerriers instead of Warrior. How can I solve this without translating the name of every unit from english to french? Not all of them are straight-forward.
