  • Korean Golden Age?

Since PTW came out, I've been wondering how the Koreans get their golden age, since the Hwacha doesn't have any attack points. Does a successful bombardment trigger the golden age?
I'm playing a hotseat "ancient empires" game right now, so haven't tried the Koreans yet.

They can get their GA by building the right wonders
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

which really sucks if you don't get those wonders

I have played a couple of randomized civ PBEM's.

I think god everyday I haven't been selected as the Koreans. One was the Japanese (which I usually play anyways), and the other was the Egyptians- not my preferred civ but better than the Koreans

The hwach'a will not trigger a golden age. In the editor, it is checked for golden age, but not for lethal bombardment. Experimentation has demonstrated that successful bombardment alone will not trigger. I assume (although I haven't tried it) that modding the unit for lethal bombardment will give it golden age trigger ability.
Otherwise, you need to build a commercial and a scientific wonder (or the internet). Or capture such. (Although, capturing alone will not trigger; you need to then build another wonder, of any type. At that point the game will check your wonder list: if you have control of a commercial one and a scientific one, bang: you're golden.)
The koreans are challenging to play -- but not impossible.
