No, not at all.
(not even with my 56k dial up connection)

















It's MAP GENERATION.

Basicly, when playing Pangea map, you instead of one big continenet get 2 of them.

Which is MAJOR showstoper for quick elimination games on small maps.

Really frustrating, in quick one on one games, when you find that your opponent is on another island.



If only this could get tweaked in some new patch...

Any trick to get 1 on 1 game with players on same continent?

Not really, most (but not all) Pangaea's for me have been one big continent with some smaller islands.

Maybe good workaround could be playing both human players at same island in MP?

Or use one of the premade maps
but then you do know the layout

Actually, the DinoBarbs scenario is a decent, fair, fast play game. One island, 4 players, Middle Ages start, accel production, lots of nasty barbs.
