Without even looking I would say that anytime someone takes the time to offer up maps, that is good.

i agree with vmxa1 but think this thread ought to be in the "civ3 creations" forum... or some moderator could create a new "PTW only creations"-forum.

abdul: i'd also recommend leaving away your rule changes and just giving out the map. a lot of people prefer to use their own set of rules and will have to export your map in order to play it their way.

I love you map, and have played it Civ3.
In PTW I ahve tried the TETurkhan mod as well.
The same problem appears with these large maps. After 1000 AD the game runs slower and slower.
After I have finished my turn it takes minimum ten minutes before I am able to move my troops again.

Having a slow computer can't be the problem. It's brand new:
2.4 Ghz Pentium, 1 GB memory, 80 GB hard drive.
Checking the system status while Civ moves the AI players the game consumes 99% of the processer's time! And use hundreds of MB main memory (lots of free memory though).

So I give up the game around 1600 - 1800 AD.

The Civ programmers sadly appears to have forgotten performance issues.
