  • Hall of Fame-High Scores bug?

i finished a game twice, once by diplo and once by spaceship but my scores are missing from hall of fame! 9 hours of work and nothing to show for it. the hall of fame is empty and i tried clicking on the civ i played with and it still wont show...anyone else having problems with hall of fame now showing scores at all?

Yes, I retired from my first PTW game and it never showed on the list. It was a miserable score but I like having it up there nonetheless. What gives?

Funny this thread should show up now. I finished late last night (early morning) and the HOF only had the previous game. I was going to delete the file and replay the end of both games to see if they both are now in the list. I just edit it and only the old line is there.

Does modding effect what games get scored?

It seems like the last modded game I completed did not show up on the hall of fame, but the last regular unmodded game did

If this is true, its somethign I definately don't like

Sure I could mod a game to get a sure high score, but I could rig a 2 person MP game and that would show up on the hall of fame.

Ok, I went and deleted the HOF and loaded the last two games last turn and now both scores are in my HOF. This was my fault as I had tested deletions of entries and probably corrupted it.

perhaps it happens when you mod the game, because i never tinkered with the HOF file. all i did was to give korean UU lethal land bombardment. and i have to pay the price of not having a hall of fame because of this? not fair!

No mods in either game for me on PTW. Just std maps. Someone was asking about deletion of games that they reloaded a few times and had many entries so I tried it and they were gone, but a new game failed to be added? Next time I will save the file first as I had suggested.

I confirm too, a modded game w custom rules will NOT show up in the HoF. Frustrating. Only unmodded games will be recorded. I have sent an e-mail to Firaxis about this, of course no reply. Europeans players and those planning to buy PtW: be warned, if you want to see the results of your games in the HoF, play unmodded rules.....

Firaxis has said that only standard games are saved in the HOF in PTW.

                            There's an solution for this...

When winning the game, just write down on some paper (or whatever) all the information that is required in the HoF

Then goto the Civ3/PTW/ directory and open the file Hisghscores.CV3 in a text program... It'll look like this:

                            Code:
                            Lincoln 8 528 0 3 1
                            Caesar 1 761 1 4 1
I don't remember all the numbers, but you can try around. I believe the last number is how you win, and the second number is the score. The name can be anything (except spaces), so if you don't want your highscore to be called Caesar, just enter some other name
This space is empty... or is it?
