Funny thing with Robert the Bruce. I think it was ... was it Call to power? They used William Wallace for the scots. I made the joke by that time that the English leader could also be Robin Hood.

Cool they decided to do a REAL king. ;-)

Looking back over history I suppose anything could of happened, Napolean could of beat the Russians, the Mongols could of over run Western Europe also, the Turks could of captured Vienna and over run Europe or it could of been the Moors that discovered the New World which might of made all of the Americas Muslim
No problem about that. Then we had to pray five times a day to souteast but they would have brought the idiotic and warmongering christian nations to an enduring peace. No World Wars, no imperialism like this. Perhaps.

I wonder what would have happen then. Another religous war? French Sunnites versus german Schiites? And which role would play the US-Sultan today?

Hm, no, I have a problem with that. Pretty cool they would have conquered us somewhat earlier in the 9. century or so

The City version of the mod reflects this, and as you said Europe is a battle ground where other ares on the map are much larger and stronger. The World Map version (with out cities) is much more balanced, and if this still isn't to your liking then you can always try the Mod version where you play on random map of your choice. My personal favorite is the City version and I like playing as the Israelites. They are by far the most challenging Civ along with the English to play. They both start with only 2 cities but unlike the English, Israel is not protected on an Island from its powerful neighbors.
The problem is simple: CivIII is a game not a good historic simulation. There were no really uprisings, religious problems, cultural degenerations and so on. The bigger nation the bigger victory chance.

In the moment I try to make a mod that covers such things as historic authenticity. When I play Germany and warmongering to the east I want to meet the Ottomans who conquered the Babylonians, Persians, Israel, Egypt and Carthage. Okay, would be a challange, but then I have reason to believe they would have a chance.

I am not very interested in playing the normal game, when the start locations are the same, always Persia, Greek, France and Iroques are my last enemies. Really everytime! It bothers me.

So I decided to give some peoples after a certain tech new ressources with big big big boni so they can use a big big big power to conquer much much much territory. First the old ancient peoples, then the arabian Forces, at least the euorpean, Russian and the USA. I hope it will work.

Oh yes! This would mean the old world, England is by that time conquered by me, would correct the failure of the late 18. century. We would bring the USA "heim ins Reich".

Civil losses we would only avoid between our loyal citizens of Canada
