These units only work well against human players, who may otherwise use all of their units for offensive purposes. Not that many votes, but from what I have heard so far I can't wait to get my hands on PTW and play as the Vikings/Scandinavians (guess why?).Comment

My vote that they are the best is for Single Player.
In Multi-player, you would run a very high risk of your human oppoents attacking you during the ancient era just to wipe you out early enough to prevent you from building this unit.
A close second in SP is Ottoman Calvary.
