  • Allied, whether you like it or not.

    Hey all,

I have for a long time been trying to mae a WWII and Civil War map to "relive" these moments in history through the CIV engine. Only problem is that the allies keep declare war on each other in WWII and there are similar problems with a CW map.

I am curious, is there a way to lock teams like in a sort of AoE fashion. Just make two civs in a perpetual military alliance? The English and Germans shouldn't make up and crush the Americans in this type of senario .

    Scenario alliances

This might belong in the Creation forum.

Have you tried giving the Germans a bunch of English slaves? That may interfere with how friendly the English can get.

Actually, it might do quite well here.

...? Feel free to finnish that statement

Another thing to try is putting some german units in England and a U boat near an Ameriacan ship. Also try putting a strong Jappanese near Hawii.

What jkelly suggested is an interesting concept too. BTW how many civs are in your WWII sceanario?

edit a non moving indestructible unit and place it in enemy territory.
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

It would get removed by an auto-withdrawal, I guess.

I am trying to include the English, Germans, Americans, French and Russians. (It is post Italian switch so Italy has been occupied by the Germans already). Just doing the European threatre or now. Got the idea from the senario that came with CivII.

You can't do anything about this as of yet. There is no way of editing the diplomatic relationships of civs yet. This of course means that historical scenarios are not possible just yet. I hope hope hope Firaxis takes my continual yapping about this seriously and includes it in an upcoming patch. Otherwise, no real scenarios.
