    (go for a PBEM game)

This is not based on personnel experience, mind you. All hearsay

Did anyone expect it to be playable with 56k after how slow civ3 was anyway? I didnt. From what ive heard and in no way from my own experience of it, theyve got a real job on to make it playable over cable, let alone 56k. I hope they do it too.

I have cable that is about as fast as a 56 kbit/s connection.

It was barely playable with 2 players.

                I'd prefer PBEM, anyway.

But I'll be getting a ADSL connection soon, so...

Looks like PBEM and Hot Seat will be the only MP for me. I used to have cable modem, too, but Comcast's service absolutely sucked. So now it's 56k dial up, PBEM and Hot Seat....

How can a TBS NOT be playable over 56k? If there is one genre that should be easy on the 56k crowd, it's TBS. If they can't get multiplayer to work over 56k they seriously need to rethink what they are doing.

                        Oi Brasileiro! Tudo Bom?

Anyways, do they have broadband in Brasil these days for residential use?

                          Oi, Kiz... Tudo bem!!

Yes, there is broadband for residential use available in Brasil... Cable, ADSL and even radio and satellite. Cable and ADSL are the most common, while radio and satellite access are still rare and too expensive.

I want to acquire a ADSL line until the end of the year... I'm tired of the contrast between my work (broadband) and home (turtleband).
