If all you want to do is play by standard rules, you don't have to do anything, just choose the scenario.
An alternative is to change one line in a scenario (even the main scenario file) to add SnOOpy's to your scenario search path in the editor.
As a last resort, you copy the files over the art/terrain directory. There is no going back without a reinstall if you don't like it, so I'd do one of the other 2 I recommended first.Seemingly Benign

I really like your watercolor terrain. Is it possible to have the game start a random world with it? Or does that have to be done in the editor? Also, can I take an existing map and transform it into one that uses your watercolor terrain?
I know I have a lot of questions, but I'm sure I'm not the only one. Your terrain looks great, but its pointless if nobody knows how to use it. Please help.Eine Spritze gegen Schmerzen, bitte.

To use it with another scenario or map, add it to the scenario search folder. I know, I know. Now for the explanation.
The way the scenario paths work is you give your mod a list of directories (folders) to search in order. If you have multiple directories separate them by a semicolon ';'. You can use relative pathing (..\..\someMod) also. The assumption is that the search starts from the Civ3PTW/Scenarios directory
In addition to folders that are explicitly listed in this field it will search through other default paths.
The search order is as follows:
1. directories listed in the path in the order listed
2. directory named the same as your mod
3. the PTW standard directories
4. the Civ3 standard directories
Whenever PTW tries to open a file it goes through these in order and stops when it finds the first match. While this article is mentioning graphics this technique works for sound, animation and text files also.
Is that any better?Seemingly Benign

OK, Warp, I tried it and it works! I actually did try that yesterday (based on some info you posted on another thread), but when I saw no change to the terrain in the editor, I assumed it wasn't working.
Let all the Civvers throughout the world know:
THE TERRAIN WON'T CHANGE IN THE EDITOR, BUT IT WILL BE CHANGED IN THE GAME!!!!!!!!!
And thanks Warp, for the terrain And the detailed instructions!Eine Spritze gegen Schmerzen, bitte.

Warp,
Just wanted to say I was up til 4 in the morning playing a Europe map I like which I converted to your watercolor terrain. And it rocked!
I didn't realize how sick I was of that dreary default Civ3 terrain. Your watercolors are so much better, so much more pleasing to the eye. The smoothness of the watercolors seems to soothe the psyche. (But I'm still a warmonger, just no longer an uptight warmonger!)
Great job, Warp!Eine Spritze gegen Schmerzen, bitte.

WarpStrom, if I understand correctly, does that mean I can use my own cutom rules scenario ( only some rules& tech costs changed ) with a modded graphics scenario like yours or snoopy's for the same game ? Only by linking like you said in your post ( scenario properties )? ThxThe art of mastering:"la Maîtrise des caprices du subconscient avant tout".
